Our Medical Hoses

When it comes to medical devices, compliance to strict standards is paramount.

Medical gas hoses are no different. They are complex devices that need to be precisely manufactured to meet the design intent and tested to ensure they function properly.

At BPR Medical, we take medical gas hose requirements for performance and durability beyond the ISO standard to provide you with a high quality, cost-effective, compliant solution.

Each hose is permanently crimped and anti-confusion tested to ensure gas specificity is assured for the life of the hose.

All of our medical hose assemblies are phthalate and latex-free, safeguarding patients and users. They can be supplied for:

  • Oxygen
  • Nitrous Oxide
  • Medical Air
  • Vacuum

Commitment to Quality and Innovation

Every single hose is tested to confirm its mechanical integrity to meet ISO 5359 standards. In addition, they are:

  • Built to meet and exceed standards
  • Subject to a rigorous testing process
  • Developed with a unique and built-to last design
  • Independently tested for biocompatibility to ISO 18562-2 and ISO
18562-3, assuring compliance with ISO 18562-1 and ISO 10993-1
  • Tested to ensure the resistance to flow is within defined limits
  • Tested for external leakage
  • Tested for gas specificity of end connectors
  • Lifetime-proven through an accelerated aging process

A Unique, built-to-last design

  • The proven bell flange design of our crimped connections ensures flexing of the hose after years of use will not damage the hose
  • Consistently strong connections are created thanks to a robust crimping process validation
  • End connectors are all stainless steel to ensure durability
  • Hose colour coding and labelling have been proven resistant to commonly used disinfecting agents
  • Sub-surface printing ensures labels remain legible for the life of the hose
“We have been using the BPR medical gas hoses now for 6 months, the hose material is easy to clean and loses its twist quickly after being uncoiled and settles on the floor reducing the trip hazard around the anaesthetic machine.”

David Eveleigh
Senior Engineer, Avensys UK

The hoses are vital pieces of equipment for delivering oxygen to patients. Quality is key as they receive a lot of wear and tear in a demanding environment, but nevertheless they still need replacing from time to time. We’re delighted that BPR rose to the challenge and that the equipment is being repurposed for the benefit of patients and the Trust.”

John Itter
Senior Medical Devices Technician, Salisbury Hospital

We would like to thank BPR Medical for their work with the Ventilator Challenge, and for their hard work distributing medical consumables after the programme to secure much needed consumables for the NHS and value for the taxpayer.”

Government Chief Commercial Officer
